Legal Studies

About the Program

The Legal Studies program prepares students to perform substantive and procedural legal work under the supervision of an attorney. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for successful, productive employment and contributions to the legal and business fields.

American Bar Association Approved

The Legal Studies Program at CLC is the only ABA-approved paralegal education program in Lake County.

Earning a Bachelor’s Degree

We currently have articulation agreements for bachelor’s degree completion programs at California University of Pennsylvania, Roosevelt University and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Career Opportunities

About 7 out of 10 work for law firms; others work for corporate legal departments and government agencies.
