South Korea: Discovering Korea in Busan

May 24 to June 8, 2025

Experience the heart of Korean culture with our comprehensive community travel program to Busan. You'll gain a deep and engaging appreciation of Korea’s rich traditions, modern innovations and vibrant lifestyle through the exciting combination of Korean pop culture, culinary delights, martial arts, traditional arts and language. Expand your horizons and create unforgettable memories in this vibrant coastal city.

This program offers an academic foundation without the need to complete course work for credit. All travelers are required to participate in all group travel activities.

Withdrawal information: Your program cost and other fees are non-refundable if you withdraw from the program after December 6, 2024. Withdrawals must be made in writing and submitted to wwloch@clcillinois.edu.

Cost: $3,900*


*Trip cost subject to change due to unanticipated changes in currency exchange rate, airline and accommodation variations. Cost is based on having 20 program participants.

Cost includes:

  • round-trip airfare - $2,500*
  • accommodation - single room with double bed
  • insurance
  • airport pick up and drop off
  • cultural excursions/activities (as arranged for this program)

Cost excludes:

Anticipate daily average per-person costs and fees.

  • meals – $30/day
  • in-country transportation – $16/day
  • passport fees
  • incidental/personal expenses
  • personal excursions – $26/day
  • travel medicine

Scholarship information
