Metallica Scholars Initiative
Empowering students with high-demand skills for 8 years strong
CLC is proud to participate in Year 8 of the Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI). Launched in 2019 by All Within My Hands (AWMH), the nonprofit foundation created by members and management of Metallica, in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), MSI helps students gain hands-on career and technical training that leads to in-demand, high-skill careers and family-sustaining wages.
CLC was one of the first 10 colleges chosen when this initiative began and has participated every year since. Over eight years, CLC has received $290,000 through the initiative to support career and technical education and help students prepare for successful careers.
For year 8, CLC received a $15,000 grant to enhance student experience and career readiness within its advanced manufacturing programs. This continued partnership helps remove barriers for students while providing access to the skills, training and opportunities needed to build strong careers and futures.
