CLC has been named a Leader College by Achieving the Dream. Leader Colleges play an important role in accelerating the adoption of effective practices within the Achieving the Dream Network and across higher education. -
Governor celebrates student center opening
Governor JB Pritzker along with local and state officials celebrated the ribbon-cutting for the new Student Center at CLC. The Lakeshore Campus Student Center will enhance the student experience by providing improved services, plus state-of-the-art learning and study spaces. -
The Chronicle adds to its accolades
CLC's student-run newspaper received 10 awards this April at the Illinois Community College Journalism Association’s spring conference. In the last 15 years, The Chronicle has won 185 awards, including 44 first places, in the statewide contest. -
Celebrate during National Nurses Month
May is National Nurses Month, and CLC is celebrating all those in the profession. From the 1970s to today, CLC nursing alumni have had success in the field. -
Urban Farm Center moves forward
CLC is officially moving forward with the project to bring an Urban Farm Center to the Lakeshore Campus. It's part of the vision to create a vibrant urban campus environment. -
Students take flight with microgravity experiments
CLC students had the chance to design experiments to be tested in space. One lucky student was selected to have his design tested by astronauts. -
Adult learner finds new career
Matthew Sobczyk was always creative, making his own music, and spent most of his career in carpentry. When he retired, he found a new passion in digital media and design.
