About the Program

The Associate Degree Program in Nursing at the College of Lake County provides a balanced curriculum of general and nursing education leading to the Graduate Learning Outcomes. This curriculum strives to prepare qualified persons to successfully complete the NCLEX-RN, obtain licensure and practice as entry-level Registered Nurses to meet the health care needs of Lake County residents.

College of Lake County's nursing program is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Board of Nursing, 320 West Washington Street, Springfield, IL 62786 and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN), 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30326, 404-975-5000. The most recent accreditation decision made by the ACEN Board of Commissioners for the Associate Degree Nursing Program is continuing accreditation.
