Your structured education will provide you the opportunity to develop mastery of discipline-specific knowledge, integrate theory into practice in the imaging labs, and hone affective and critical thinking skills required to demonstrate professional competence. Your clinical education will verify that you have demonstrated competency in performing the clinical activities fundamental to imaging. Together, these educational practices will help you master the knowledge you’ll need to obtain your credentials—with the benefit of a stable career.

Your laboratory experience on campus features three energized X-ray machines, digital technology and multiple imaging mannequins for simulation. During your clinical education at a medical facility, you will work with registered technologists performing radiographic examinations. In this accredited program, you also learn soft skills such as independent, professional and ethical judgment, quality care, cultural competence and effective communication.

Accreditation

The Medical Imaging program is nationally accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and was awarded an 8-year accreditation in fall, 2022.
