Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and robot programming

The future is today! Automation changes the way humans work. Become an in-demand mechatronics technician with a state-of-the-art certificate in Automation, Robotics and Mechatronics (A.R.M.). After 1 year of full-time study, you can start a career in clean manufacturing environments using complex automated systems.

Get hands-on training using the latest industrial equipment in modern facilities. Students have the option of taking daytime courses at the Grayslake campus or evening classes at the Lakeshore campus.

What can you do with a Certificate in Automation, Robotics & Mechatronics?

The Automation, Robotics and Mechatronics certificate prepares you for careers in Automation and Robotics. Many students are employed in the automation field before they even finish their certificate.

Students can also continue their education in the automation and robotics field by pursuing CLC’s Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Automation, Robotics and Mechatronics. The second year A.R.M. classes are offered in the evening. Six additional technical courses are needed in addition to the required general education courses for the A.A.S.
