An Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) prepares you to work in a high-demand field with cutting-edge automated machines, equipment and building systems. Learn how to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment used in a manufacturing plant or maintaining facilities and buildings.

What Can You Do With an A.A.S. in Industrial Technology?

An Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) prepares you for a career in industrial technology. You can start in maintenance, assembling or production, then move up to high-tech jobs in building automation, PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and specialty fabrication. With further education and experience, you can move into management positions.

Certain classes have industry credentials embedded within them. You will qualify to take SACA certifications provided by the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA). This makes your credentials attractive to employers and can help you get a job sooner.

INT 125	INT 125 Piping Systems Class Description This course is designed to give the student knowledge and skills on how to select, size, identify, and install a variety of piping, fittings, and valves used in air, water, and other process systems. Topics include iron pipe, steel tubing, hydraulic hose, plastic pipe, copper tubing, as well as globe, gate, check, and Sloan valves.	2
INT 154	INT 154 Mechanical Alignment and Bearings Class Description This course will give the student an understanding of lubricants, gaskets, seals, shaft alignment and correct selection, servicing and installation of bearings.	2
WFT 170	WFT 170 General Welding Class Description This course is designed to introduce students to common welding processes and the associated industry. A general and basic knowledge of common arc welding processes, safety and operation are studied and practiced. In addition to welding fundamentals; measuring, materials and plasma cutting as they pertain to industry are also studied and practiced. Primary and essential skills regarding safe and proper operation will be developed and practiced. Development of welding skill and technique is secondary to understanding safety and knowledge of welding processes and associated equipment. Note: Student must furnish basic required PPE.	3
