France and Italy: Culinary and Historical Tour

May 19–31, 2025

Explore the culture, art and cuisine of France and Italy. Expand your knowledge of front-of-the-house service while visiting Paris, Lyon, Rome and Florence. Learn about wine and food. Visit important sites of culinary history.

  • HCM 159 Culinary Arts Study Abroad (3 credits)

This course lets students in Hospitality and Culinary Management study and experience food, culture and the hospitality industry within a global context. The course focuses on front- and back-of-the-house activities at restaurants in major cities in France and Italy.

Scholarship information

Study abroad scholarships are available through the Department of Global Engagement for eligible participants. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have already applied and been accepted to the study abroad program.

Hospitality and Culinary Management (HCM) Scholarships are available. Talk to faculty leaders to learn how and where to apply. Students must be enrolled in CLC's HCM program and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Fundraising opportunities

Join other students in raising money to fund your trip to France and Italy. To participate, sign up with one of the faculty leaders. Funds will be applied to the cost of the trip based on hours worked and total funding raised. Please note: Fundraising is not required. It is available for those who want to participate.
