Study Abroad: Japan
Japan: Introduction to Creative Writing
May 17–June 7, 2025
Immerse yourself in Japanese cultural traditions. Visit one of the oldest hot spring spas, medieval castles and historical temples, while surrounded by exquisite landscapes. CLC students, together with students from Joliet Junior College, will study at Ehime University, located in picturesque Matsuyama—the capital city of Ehime Prefecture on the Shikoku island of Japan. Following two weeks in Matsuyama, you'll conclude your study abroad program with travels to Kyoto and Tokyo.
This program explores local culture, cuisine and language. It includes visits to Matsuyama, Hiroshima, the Sagano Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, temples, shrines and Tokyo.
