United Arab Emirates: Anthropological and Cultural Exploration
January 10–19, 2025
Explore the culture and architecture of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with the country's diverse opportunities in business, engineering and information technology. You will join students of Ajman University on this winter tour.
- ANT 121 Introduction to Anthropology (3 credits)
In this course, you'll get introduced to the nature of humans, their development and relationship to physical, social and cultural environments, both past and present. You'll survey the major fields of anthropology: physical anthropology, ethnology, linguistics and archaeology, with an emphasis on non-Western cultures and underrepresented groups. You'll have a unique opportunity to experience the culture of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) first hand.

Cost: $2,800*

Scholarship information
Study abroad scholarships are available through the Department of Global Engagement for eligible participants. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have already applied and been accepted to the study abroad program.
