Get hands-on experience with the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery, equipment and building systems. This certificate takes 4 months to complete. It prepares you for real-world mechanical maintenance work to install, maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery. You gain skills in:

  • mechanical equipment installation, disassembly and repair
  • hydraulic and pneumatic installation and repair
  • welding

What can you do with a certificate in Mechanical Maintenance Technology?

Start your career in maintenance, assembling or production, then move up to high-tech jobs in building automation, PLCs (programmable logic controllers) and specialty fabrication. With further education and experience, you can move into management positions.

This is a stackable certificate - the first in a series of 3. Complete the other 2 certificates in Electrical Maintenance Technology and Industrial Maintenance Technology and get more marketable skills and more credits towards the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) in Industrial Technology.

Certain classes have industry credentials embedded within them. You will qualify to take SACA certifications provided by the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA). This makes your credentials attractive to employers and will help you get a job sooner.
